Recently, the main pier cap construction of Qinglongmen Bridge in the second phase of the Liuheng Highway Project at Ningbo Zhoushan Port has been completed, marking the bridge's full entry into the main tower shaft construction phase.
"World's Best" of Liuheng Highway Bridge
The second phase of the Liuheng Highway Bridge project is a large-scale cross-sea island-linking project, consisting of multiple bridges and connecting lines. Shuangyumen Suspension Bridge is the world's largest single-span suspension bridge with a steel box girder, and also Chinese largest cross-sea bridge span; Qinglongmen Suspension Bridge is the world's largest span three-tower steel box girder cable-stayed bridge.
Construction Challenges
The cap pouring adopts large-volume concrete construction technology, requiring the pouring of 15,000 cubic meters of concrete. Due to the complex sea conditions and strong corrosiveness in the construction area, this ultra-large cap construction requires very high precision and durability, and the continuous pouring of such a large amount of concrete is extremely challenging in terms of supply at sea.
To ensure the construction progress and quality of the main pier cap concrete, ARIT technicians are stationed at the construction site around the clock, closely monitoring the concrete pouring operations, providing solid technical support for the smooth progress of the cap construction.
