Innovative Application of Grouting Material in Prestressed Bridge
BACKGROUND
Grouting material is essential basic material for the construction of prestressed bridge ducts. The quality and performance of grouting material largely affect the quality of the construction of prestressed bridge ducts and it is difficult to effectively meet the requirements of grouting construction for prestressed ducts.
PROJECT CHALLENGE
The defect and shortcoming of traditional grouting material in the application on prestressed duct mainly reflect in the following aspects. First, there is deficiency in the fluidity of the grout, which makes it hard to raise the grouting efficiency. Second, there is the problem of water bleeding. Traditional grouting material usually has a large amount of water bleeding in the early stage, which can easily lead to segregation and affect the fullness of the duct grouting. Finally, there is deficiency in the density of the grout. This also leads to the formation of a large number of voids in the grout after hardening, which affects its bonding quality with the prestressing tendon and makes it hard to meet the quality requirement of modern bridge construction.
The grouting material provided by ARIT has high fluidity, and its micro-expansion characteristics completely overcome the volume shrinkage characteristics of ordinary Portland cement when it reacts with water. Its high strength makes it suitable for high-strength prestressed steel strands and high-strength concrete. This can help reduce prestress loss in prestressed concrete, prevent the corrosion of prestressing steel, and ensure the safety of post-tensioned prestressed members.
